Topping
- 1 medium to large apple, peeled and cut into small pieces
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Crumble
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup textured vegetable protein, TVP; dry
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
The method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small baking dish, add all the topping ingredients and mix to coat the apple pieces well.
- In a bowl, mix all the crumble ingredients until well combined.
- Spread the crumble evenly over the apples.
- Bake in the centre of the oven for about 45 minutes.
