
Chocolate Strawberry Protein Energy Balls
Satisfy your sweet tooth with these strawberry chocolate protein bites, a delicious mix of fruity freshness and rich chocolate. Perfect as a post-workout snack or a quick energy boost, these bites are as nutritious as they are delicious!
The ingredients
- 7 Medjool dates, pitted
- ½ cup almonds
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 strawberry protein powder, I used Good Protein; scoop
- ¼ cup pecans
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup freeze-dried strawberries
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings
- ¼ cup freeze-dried strawberries, finely crushed
- 3 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
The method
- In a small bowl, cover the dates with boiling water and let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a high-powered blender, add all the ingredients except the toppings and blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- In a bowl, prepare the toppings and set aside.
- Using a spoon, shape into balls with your hands, coat in the coconut flakes and strawberries, then place in an airtight container.
- Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
