The ingredients

  • ½ cup dark chocolate >70%, melted with 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 firm silken tofu, 346 g package
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

The method

  1. Boil a little water and pour it over the dates in a small bowl. Let soak for 5 minutes.
  2. In a blender, add the silken tofu and water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt and drained dates. Blend until fully combined.
  4. Add the melted chocolate and blend again until smooth.
  5. Pour into 4 small jars and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Storage tips

Keeps in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
