Dates are an excellent source of dietary fibre, which supports digestion, healthy bowel movements and helps prevent constipation.
Dates contain antioxidants such as flavonoids, carotenoids and phenolic acid, which help fight oxidative stress and inflammation, protecting cells from damage.
Eating dark chocolate with a high cocoa content has been linked to lower cortisol (stress hormone) levels.
